iss075e0250227 (Oct. 30, 2026) --- Red Russian kale and Dragoon lettuce are pictured growing aboard the International Space Station for the ISSGardens investigation. The space agriculture study is testing simple, low-maintenance ways for astronauts to grow fresh vegetables, choose what they grow, and where they grow it. Results may help future explorers produce fresh food during long missions to the Moon and Mars, while also providing new ideas for efficient farming and gardening techniques on Earth.
