APACHE: Spacewalking in Virtual Reality
At NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, one lab uses the virtual reality environment to study how astronauts perform on spacewalks. They use sandboxes, multi-directional treadmills, and even mockups of spacesuits to simulate the spacewalk environment in ways that other facilities can't.
